Hello World!
Hello World! My name is Josh. Welcome to my blog. I’m not new to the blogging world. For several years now, my brother and I have been blogging over at Adventures in Filmmaking. I’ll continue to post over there on matters related to film, but I created this personal blog so that I could share some of my thoughts on other topics. Specifically, topics that pertain to my faith in Jesus Christ and modern Christianity. However, being a blog, I’m sure there will be a lot of other random stuff that interests me. I’ll try to keep it interesting to you too. Thanks for visiting. I’d be honored if you would subscribe to my feed.
A quick note on the name, Proudly Powerless. This is taken from 2 Corinthians 12:9.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
This verse has meant a lot to me as I have learned just how truly weak I am. Christ is everything. I am nothing. I’m also a pretty prideful guy, and if God is giving me permission to boast about something, I’m gonna take Him up on that.
